7 Easy steps to make your own MOTHER’S DAY HANDmade LOVE gift:
1. Take a colorful piece of paper about 8.5” x 11” or standard printer paper.
2. Help your little one fold it in half hamburger-wise so that the seam is parallel to the side that is 8.5”. Make sure there is enough room to fit your child’s hand.
3. Place your child’s hand on the paper, making sure that his or her thumb is on the side of the seam (folded over part) and sticking about 1 inch off the paper.
4. Help your little one trace his or her hand onto the paper.
5. If your little one is too young to use scissors, help him or her cut out the shape, making sure to cut both halves of the paper.
6. Voila!! Let your child open up the piece of paper to see the magical MOTHER’S DAY artwork!
7. Decorate to your hearts’ content. One idea would be to glue this MOTHER’S DAY artwork onto a picture of the MOM (mom will be so happy, you can take a picture of her with the kids!)
